Startling figures for Vista/Office sales on the Mac

I say 'startling', but I think I mean 'a tad unbelievable'.

Joe Wilcox over at Microsoft-Watch has been talking to analysts again.

Ten percent of US Vista sales are going to Mac users.
Twenty percent of Office sales in the US, are for the Mac version.

Bear in mind that these are retail figures most Vista and Office 'sales' are actually preloads, which means that it is wholly inaccurate to refer to Apple as a Vista OEM.

So, I guess it is possible that ten percent of retail Vista sales are going to Mac users, simply because most Windows users will get it when they buy a new machine. If Apple offered Windows preloaded, then this figure would drop to zero overnight.
