Hi,
I have Windows 7 Proffesional 32bit operating system on my HP laptop and I've decided to update to Windows 10 64bit. My processor is 64-compatible. Windows was activated with my Product ID before updating.
So I found online that first I need to update to 32bit Windows 10. I tried updating with Windows 10 download tool, just with "Update this PC" option and it started. It downloaded Windows 10 but it was working with updates and about 40% black screen appeared, so I restarted the laptop with power button and it continued working with updates, but on 89% it froze and I waited for 15-20 minutes but nothing happened, so I decided to restart it again hoping that it will continue again. But after turning it on again it started undoing everything and opened Windows 7 again. But this time it told me that my copy of Windows isn't genuine and now I can't activate my Windows 7 with old Product ID and I have a 30 day trial.
I don't know what happened, I tried pretty much every slmgr command in command prompt but all I get when I try to activate is that this product key is invalid for activation
1. Buy new product key online
2. Type different product key
3. Contact Microsoft to help resolve this problem
I there any way to fix this, at least to activate Windows and can you recommend me a way to try Windows 10 new installation since this didn't work?
Thank you.
