Split my keyboard from the monitor in a surface pro, keeping the bluetooth connection

I have a surface pro and need to split the monitor from the keyboard, but as soon I disengage the monitor from the keyboard, the bluetooth connection is lost.

I want to work in a kind a dock station, with the monitor away from the keyboard (just around 10 inches away).
