So I setup SSTP VPN on a fresh installed windows server 2016, I followed the video guide below;

at the end... I can connect to the VPN Sever without a problem within my LAN network with my laptop (Win10 Pro).. but if I take the same laptop to a different location using a different internet connection, I get the "Cannot connect to VPN Connection; The remote connection was not made because the name of the remote access server did not resolve".
So I read somewhere that you need to put the external ip instead in order to connect but I'm not very clear on this can anyone please explain more on how to connect from a remote location?
I really don't know much about VPN and most guides are not very thorough.
