Hello, I am looking for some insight in troubleshooting some servers we have deployed in our environment mostly on server 2016.
the servers are mostly HP gen 9 or Gen 8 - the servers handle apps and clients logging into them via RDP from a workstation or thin client. usually the servers have one drive C or have Two drives C: and D: then there are servers that have Virtual running as two seperate hosts one for C: OS and the other D: for apps.
The environemnt consists of users logging into a workstation with an auto account so they dont have to put in a password then they access the server via RDP shortcut , the RDP connection is setup with proper config the server IP address mostly.
the users access their apps from the server , outlook 2016 or 365, apps such Avimark or cevtrus.
the users always complain about slow access to apps and or in general just reporting really slow performance from the server.
the servers beefy enough for resources and can handle everything. ive checked all resources nothing is pegging out the cpu or ram again they complain about slow performance on the workstation end while RDP into the server.
what can i do to troubleshoot this issue? what tools can i use? to debug things , event viewer doesnt show anything of interest
what can i do this occurs for a lot of our sites that we serve and assist with IT issues.
could this be due to too many users on the server at one time?
their network equipment uses a lot different vendors on some sites like netgear, cisco and unifi. usually the network is not the issue.
