I apologize if this is the wrong topic to file this question under, I wasn't able to find a better one. Anyway, a few days ago, I found myself installing the new drivers for my graphics card (a Nvidia GTX 750 Ti), just to keep everything up to date. The following day, after booting up to desktop, I found that after a few seconds of the desktop being loaded, the brightness was raised seemingly by itself. I tried a couple options to try and fix this, as it was hurting my eyes, and I found that uninstalling the driver in device manager and refreshing, the weird brightness disappeared.
What unfortunately did NOT disappear was another issue that popped up that day, that being that almost all text in Windows' UI (for example in the various settings menus) and even in unrelated apps (like the Chrome or Firefox browsers) seemed to have become noticeably thinner, more blurry and with tiny hints of chromatic aberration, leading to a considerably poorer experience when using almost every program. Here's a screenshot of how settings menus look like now:
Noticeably unfocused text, as you can see. I have tried multiple ways to fix this issue, from changing my ClearType settings, to rebooting, trying to change the font size or boldness, to uninstalling and reinstalling my GPU drivers, but to no avail.
I am really not sure what else to try, or what the problem might ultimately be in the first place. I'd really appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks for your time and have a great day.
