Windows Vista Business Activation

I have a kind of specific problem for some outdated hardware and software. Before you say it: I completely realize that I am working with systems that are no longer supported -- I understand that, but am hoping to find someone who can offer some advice regardless.

I own a TriCaster TCXD 300, which is a video broadcasting system that runs on Windows Vista Business. I booted it up for the first time in many years, and Windows needs to be reactivated. I cannot upgrade to a new OS, as the software is not supported on any other OS.

I have the Windows product key, and the unit is connected to broadband. When I try to activate, I get an error: 0x80072F8F

Most resources online point to a date/time inconsistency problem, and advise updating date/time in a few places to make sure they are accurate. I have followed all of these instructions in various places, BIOS, services, etc. etc. with no luck. I can no longer activate via phone, either, as phone support for Vista has ended.

It seems that the issue may be related to general internet connectivity. I am able to browse the internet, but content does not always load properly, and I often get security warnings.

Is anyone able to help me with this?

Thanks in advance!
