Hi
I received a number of alerts today from a site caused by a server 2016 installing updates during the defined active hours period. The server then rebooted and installed a Windows Defender update in front of my eyes!
The server runs Hyper-V and was in turn running half a dozen VMs that were all impacted.
I have tried using SCONFIG to force the server to only download updates but each time it reports its has a custom config. The system is stand alone with no group polices etc. assigned and now one else can access the server so something must be very, very wrong with the way that MS treats active hours here.
Can anyone offer advice on why this happened and how we stop the server randomly updating without authority.
Many thanks
Gary
