Printer has stopped working. Though still can print the test page from control panel.

I have used this Brother printer for years. It was working until yesterday. Now after sending a file to printer, nothing happens. No error messages. I can print a test page from the control panel, but not from word or XL or any other application. I re-installed the driver and firmware in printer to no avail. The other computers are not able to print neither. Point of interest, we did receive a software push yesterday. Wonder if that is causing the problem. Any ideas?
