Hi, I am having problem for windows update with the following:
2020-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909
for x64-based Systems (KB4560960) - Error 0x800f0805
I have tried the troubleshooting, have tried everything I can find on the web to fix this problem. I have gone through instruction provided to run cmd and run through the step by step still encounter error problem windows update. (see below)
I want to update to the latest feature set, but it won't let me install windows updates, and still trying to install updates.
(Example)
Note: Before trying to rename the folders, please disconnect in the internet first or Turn on Airplane mode then restart your computer.
From Start , search for cmd
Select Command Prompt (with the option Run as Administrator) from the results
At the Command Prompt, type the following commands one at a time. After each, select Enter. Let the command complete before typing the next command.
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptsvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren %systemroot%\softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.bak
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
After all these commands are completed, close the Command Prompt window and restart your computer.
Please try again to run the Windows Update.
