I'm located in the U.S. I have a share on a server in a different forest in
China connected to us by a high speed WAN link. When I try to access the
share by name I get prompted for credentials and can log on normally and
access the shares. When I try to connect by IP I get the following error
message "the system cannot find message text for message number 0x in the
message file for \\10.10.128.1"
I saw a microsoft article that referenced smart cards and I turned off the
smart card authentication on my NIC. I also saw something that referenced
smart cards and Windows 2000 SP4 which involved a hotfix, but this server is
server 2003.
Any ideas?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
