I have a problem with my main Desktop Machine, no real problems for the past few years. HDD 160GB SATA windows now will not see the internet will nromally see BT hub and connected on a small wired network. I think that the HDD has problems with bad sectors. I want to repair Win XP Home not reinstall it.
I have the original Acer Recovory disk that we burned when the machine was new but my understanding is that even if I knew what to do it is only good for a a complete reinstall (not what I need}.
I have reset the TCP/IP stack with: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
and
Winsock with: netsh winsock reset
No Change in problem ..... How can I repair windows XP, I dont have the original OS disk as windows was pre-installed but I do have the original Key on a sticker on the side of the machine.
would really like some help ?
