I am trying to burn video files to a DVD-R disk with Windows DVD Maker. Encoding gets up to 0.5% when I suddenly get an error message saying "This application has requested runtime to terminate it in an usual way." DVD Maker then crashes and asks if I want to restart the program.
I saw a similar question with a solution but I have no idea if it applies to me or even how to replicate it. Someone said the culprit was a "virtual cd drive" ... that a virtual disk mounted will give this error but if they eject it, the error goes away. That sounds nice and all, but how would I go about seeing whether I have such a thing and how to "eject" it?? The only thing I have in my DVD-RW drive is a blank DVD-R disc. As you can see I'm a real novice at this. I just want to get it resolved so I can successfully burn a disc. Please help.
