I have a new HP Officejet 3830 that I installed last week. Has been working fine until the latest Windows 10 update this week. Now when I right click a document to print - it appears in black in white on the preview screen and will only print in black and white. I uninstalled the HP Printer software and reinstalled it along with the latest driver. That didn't help. I checked the printers device settings and cannot find anywhere that it allows me to select either color or black and white. If I open the same document in MS Paint it will print in color. Printed a test page directly from the HP Printer screen and it printed in color fine. (The ink cartridges are full and work fine in other software programs to print so that is not the problem)
So it looks like something may have changed during the update this week that affected the settings on my new printer and is stopping it from printing in color. I called technical support for the printer and they were not able to help me. Said they are getting lots of reports of problems printing in color on HP printers after the update. Is there a fix for this?
