Does Windows 10 build 20161 solve the longstanding Firewire driver problem for audio interfaces which require the old legacy driver?

As is well known in the audio recording communities, audio interfaces which require legacy drivers are plagued with having to uininstall the firewire driver every time there is a window update, and replace it with a legacy driver. After the last couple of Win10 updates, the problem is much worse as win10 now adds 30 copies of the unhelpful driver, and now we have to spend a great deal of time uuninstalling these 30 before re-installing the legacy driver.

I'm wondering if MS has finally with 20161 taken up the issues raised by the recoding industry or whther I need to abandon my expensive firewire hardware and buy an equally expensive USB based one?
