Upgrade to Windows 10 64-Bit

I would like to upgrade my computer. Currently, the windows installed on my computer is Windows 8.0 32-Bit. I want to upgrade it to windows 10 64-Bit. Is it possible without my files getting affected? Or I need to create a backup of Drive C: (System Drive) to avoid any data loss?


Edit: I'll still backup my files even if it's safe or not. But if it's not affected, then I'll only backup specific/important files.
