Hi Experts!
We need your suggestion and recommendation on this. We have one AD Domain Controller running windows server 2016 with GC and DNS role. No redundancy within the entire domain. Appreciate if you give us step by step procedure on how we resolve this. we are planning to promote additional DC once we resolve the issue with existing for redundancy.
Background of the issue :
1. One Domain Controller is currently running without redundancy. Us
2. Scheduled Shutdown all physical server for more than 2-3 hours and after power came up all servers are booted with no problem.
3. The day they noticed that the AD Domain services suddenly have an error upon opening it.
Current Impact :
As of the moment no impact to user’s login and authentication to all client computers but we're not able to create a domain user and enforce GPO’s and joining workstation to domain as well.
Shared files are not accessible due to issue with AD
See the Result :
DCDIAG,
Repadmin / Replsum
Netdom query FSMO
Thanks
