I have been using my XP machine for many years connect to the Internet via an ADSL modem/router thingy via LAN cable. Also connected to this router are other PCs and a NAS drive. My LAN adapter is configured the standard way, automatic IP address, automatic DNS and I can manage the router at 192.168.1.1 or thereabouts.
Sadly I moved to a location where I have no ADSL Internet, so I have plugged in a Wifi USB adapter and can get Internet from a mobile phone in hotspot mode.
My problem is that I am unable to connect to both my old router AND the Wifi Internet at the same time.
I can disable the Wifi adapter and then "see" my other PCs and NAS drive. Or I can disable the LAN adapter, enable the Wifi, and see the Internet.
Is there some way I can reconfigure the IP address or the DNS of one adapter so that both can co-exist and I can see the other PCs and the Internet at the same time? I am fairly dumb and need to be told the exact numbers to put in.
