Recently I realized that I cannot change the metadata for mp3 files (or flac files) through the properties. I used to be able to do that, but suddenly I am not allowed to anymore.
A. I have a third party software called "mp3tag" and it can change the metadata, but I used to be able to do that through the properties on the windows itself too; but recently it seems there's something blocking it. My cursor doesn't change to the typing flashing cursor when I click on the metadata.
B. I have tried to restart the computer, and I've checked and none of the files are read-only. The problem doesn't seem to be limited to a folder either, it doesn't let me change the metadata on ANY folder on my computer, even an external HDD.
C. I couldn't find any viable solution to this problem online, most of them are very old or offer solutions that are not the issue for me. I have windows 8, and as far as I know I have not installed any softwares that can block an access like that.
