We have set up DMZ server (WS2016) which needs to be accessed from Internet over https. Server was not available (our network team said that the packet from Internet was refused from the server itself - server sends rst) until we turned on an option "Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders". After that server was available from the Internet. Then that option was turned off and server was still available.
¤ Can someone explain why this option needs to be turned on to be accessed from the Internet and why it still works when the option is turned off later.
¤ Can this option "Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders" cause problems with time sync if it is turned off (for the server that has NTP set on Internet servers)?
