Hi all,
This is a brand new PC build. Here are the parts used:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600
Motherboard: MSI Mortar B550
RAM: 8X2 Gb Gskill Ripjaws V DDR4 3600 F4-3600C16D-16GVKC
Video Card: Nvidia RTX 2060
Storage: Western Digital m.2
It posts fine and I am able to enter BIOS without any issues. Windows appears to install without any problems until it restarts and tries to boot with windows for the first time. The windows dots move for a while then just freeze.
What I have tried so far:
I have updated BIOS to the latest version
I have tried booting with just one stick of RAM
I have tried moving the video card to a different slot
I have installed windows 5 separate times; 3 times with the m.2 and twice on an old HDD I have. both have the same issues.
I have tried installing windows from 2 different USB drives both with fresh downloads of windows 10
The debug LED's on the motherboard don't show any issues; they light up on booting but then turn off (I think that's normal?)
Anyone have any suggestions? I have built several PC's in the past but it's been several years and all of my previous builds have been Intel. This is my first AMD build. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
