Since the last update (a few weeks ago now) I have had a very serious problem with Windows 10.
For years I have used the following command line (in a bat file) to engage Sleep mode from a Shortcut on the Desktop:
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe Powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState 0,1,0
That works perfectly, except that after all updates Microsoft carelessly and stupidly resets the Hibernation Flag, and I have had to turn Hibernation off manually (powercfg -h off).
However after the last update, Windows will not wake after a sleep command. It does return to the Desktop, BUT then just hangs with continuous disc activity and no response.
So what's wrong (well lots of things are wrong with Windows, I know, as I have used it since 1984, release 1.04!). Better still how can we correct this stupid error?
Yours in hope,
Kenneth Spencer
