I have a machine running Windows XP Pro SP3, that I use to run some legacy applications. I have a valid CDROM/COA for it and it has been in use for over a year without any problems. A few days ago I ran chkdsk and when it finished I got a message saying the product needed to be activated and prompted me to activated over the Internet or by phone. The former didn't work and when I try to use the both the Microsoft and message on both the Microsoft UK toll-free or toll activation the message is so garbled it is unusable. If anyone knows how to contact Microsoft to get the problem fixed I would be grateful for the information.
