I have a USB speaker connected to my Win 10 (1903 18362.1016). What I experience is that if I play a sound on that USB speaker after it having been idle (just the speaker) for a while, the first half second or so of the sound is chopped off. If I play multiple sounds after the first sound after the pause, they subsequent sounds all play fine.
I have done the following:
* On all USB hubs, I have disabled the turning off of the hub to conserve power
* In Power Settings, I have disabled selective turning off USB selective suspend
* On the speakers, I have turned off all enhancements
* On the Communications tab of the sound dialog, I have selected "Do Nothing"
* I have checked that drivers are up to date (seems to be using a generic Windows driver)
The USB speaker is plugged into the box directly rather than a hub. I have allowed applications to take exclusive control of the speakers.
I am at a loss for where to search. Any ideas?
Thanks,
B
