Hi Team,
On 08/19/2020 I received the following email at 12:04 AM PST:
Since then, I have been unable to access my account. I have tried completing the Recovery form every day and it keeps sending me an email back stating I have not provided enough information. I've called Accounts support several times and after speaking with a number of agents, was told on 08/20 that my issue was being escalated and I would receive an email sent to my primary email address from the escalation group within 48 hours. It is now 08/22 and I have not received any notification from Microsoft on this matter so I again tried calling today and after being disconnected several times while on hold, I finally spoke to an agent who informed me the only option, if the Recovery Form is not working, is to create a new account.
My concern here is, I have a Credit Card tied to my Microsoft Account and I used it to pre-purchase Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on 08/09. If I create a new Microsoft account, how do I go about ensuring the purchase of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is moved over to my new account? And how do I ensure whoever has control of my old account won't be able to make purchases on that account?
Also note - the recovery email address that is now showing on my old account is - Email code to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** - I do not own this email address. And regarding the password reset email above...I do not live in the Ukraine. Surely this should be enough information to have someone work directly with me to reset the information on my old account - *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
