Hello can anyone help me connect the windows 10 app from the windows store called smartglass. I cant change the compatibility to windows 8 like you can with other applications installed on windows desktop. I know this is a XBOX application, the reason I am asking here is the only issues are related to windows software on the desktop side giving errors.

The xbox one application works perfectly but it does not show my xbox 360. Both are on the same network, both are updated.

This is a backwards question with application installed on your desktop/laptop with having a ability to set backwards compatibility mode is not showing. How can I set this backwards compatibility right from windows store so its set when I install it, so I do not have to find the hidden folder change access permissions to set it after. Is this a option for windows stores as many items that are downloaded have to be set to backwards compatibility as systems age and windows is making the application store more secure? Example click the small dots set to backwards compatibility mode.

There is backwards compatibility however you can't set it on this application its a application like any other item on Windows that is where I get confused. Windows 10 does let you change the applications to run in windows 8 compatibility. I am able to run it in windows 10. This is my errror when I run it to connect to on the same network as the 360. I have never used the 360 with SmartGlass before the new application only shows the xbox one. The Xbox 360 is practically brand new and was serviced for the red ring of death also. It works perfectly and gets to the internet.

how can we change compatibility mode on a windows store application like this?

Does application that you install from the Microsoft store not have the ability to run backwards compatibility mode with game systems? But will with all others?
