Hi all,

Currently stumped with this BSOD issue, any help would be much appreciated.

Issue:

  • I've been having issues in the last month with BSODs, all with the same stop code: "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION".
  • Almost always, this blue screen does not restart, and freezes at 100%, and requires a force shutdown.
  • It commonly occurs on the login screen when I first boot up, around 15-30s after the login screen appears. The screen will freeze, then be followed by a BSOD
  • It also occurs randomly during normal operation (i.e. web browser), and sometimes if I leave my computer idle

Solutions Attempted:

  • I've attempted a Check Disk utility (chkdsk)
  • I've attempted a System File Check (SFC)
  • I've attempted a Windows Memory Diagnostic
  • I've updated my Windows 10 to latest
  • I've updated my graphics card driver to latest
  • I've updated my C: drive SSD firmware to latest

Minidumps:

  • The latest 3 minidumps from BSODs have been uploaded here:
  • BSOD
  • All of them highlight the same filename in BlueScreenView: ntoskrnl.exe (address in stack: ntoskrnl.exe+45963e)

Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
  • MOBO: MSI B450 Tomahawk (MS-7C02)
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 Memory 16gb x2 (cmk32gx4m2b3000c15)
  • C: Samsung SSD 970 EVO 250GB
  • D: Seagate Barracuda 3TB (ST3000DM008)

Any other details I can provide, do let me know.

Cheers,

Joe
