Driver does not install on an unknown device

Hello I recently updated to the latest version of W10 and I noticed my Xbox 360 wireless receiver was not working. I then checked my device manager and found out it was listed as an "unknown device". Beware all screenshots are in italian, but it shouldn't be too hard to understand what's going on since I'm describing it in English.

I then proceeded to install the drivers as I did the first time I installed it. I looked for a driver in my PC and whent to "Xbox 360 Peripherals". I then installed the latest version of "Xbox 360 Receiver for Windows"

After doing that a window told me the driver was successfully updated

After doing that, usually the device would no longer appear as an "unknown device" and appear as an actual xbox 360 wireless receiver, however in my case it still appeared as an unknown device, but with a different symbol next to it in the device manager

When I checked its properties it said that "no drivers are installed to this device".

At this point I have no idea on how to proceed. Windows is updated to its last version, I already tried rebooting, unistalling the device and switching it to other USB ports. If you know how to help me or need additional info please reply to this post. Thanks for your time :)
