Web pages load much faster when UAC is disabled?

I notice that my web pages load much faster if I disable UAC. Is this
normal?

No, it's not and disabling UAC is not advisable. More likely it's an Addon
that is causing this. Try uninstalling Adobe Flash Player and Helper.
Then--Go to Adobe Downloads and download the latest version and install it.
It's a brand new version that just came out and helped my slow IE7. To test
the addons, open the Start-Search button and type Internet Explorer No Addons
and run that to see if it helps. Read this for exact instructions:

Don,

This could be normal because with UAC disabled the "Protected Mode" in
IE7 is disabled with it and your web pages are no longer filtered first.
Although, I couldn't imagine it being a whole lot faster.

Hi Shawn I've tried IE7 with UAC and phishing filter turned off. Doesn't
make it noticeably faster at all.
And the phishing filter DOES work!

Thanks Mick,

I did not think it would make much difference. I would have to differ
to Mary's idea.

Check Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools -
IE without Add-ons. See if using this is any different, if so
suspect BHO's and other addins. Also updated drivers
can relieve some of Vista's slowdowns, especially video
and hard drive.

I enabled UAC. I ran IE without Add-ons, no difference. Then I cleared
cached data in IE, that made a siignificant difference in how quickly the
web pages loaded.

My thanks to all who took the time to respond, I appreciate it.

I deleted browsing history and web pages load quite fast now. Thanks to all
who took the time to respond. I appreciate it. Sorry for delay in
responding, was away from my computer yesterday.
