Hello. Yesterday, my laptop's screen went black as I was using it.
I connected an external screen, and that's working. Although, when starting Windows, the computer is crashing to a blue screen.
Howether, I restarted it on Safe Mode with Networking, and it works ok, exept the laptop's screen is still black.
I suspect that the screen might be dead, there's seems to be no issue with the graphic card. Everything seems to be uptated. I tried to restore the parameters to a few days before be the problem is still here. I wonder if the problem could come from a conflict when windows is trying to connect the screen.
So for now I can't use my computer without safe mode and the screen of my laptop is off. External screen is ok.
On BSOD, I get the error coming from atikmpmag.sys, and in the even journal the error is 1068. My graphic card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD5470 and seems to be up to date.
If the screen was indeed dead, is there a way to disable it, to avoid BSOD (cause in safe mode, everything works fine with external screen, I'm typing this from it)
Hope you could help. Thanks.
I'm running Windows 7 (yeah I know it's not supported anymore...) 64bits on a Toshiba
processor : Intel Core i5 CPU m460 @2.53GHz
RAM 4.00Go
