Windows 10 Mail app sometimes will not download pictures or text within an email.

Just came up with a solution for the issues that some are having with the Mail app in Windows 10. For months, some emails don't get fully downloaded from the client server, and are missing text or pictures within an email received. I have found an "work around" substitute for multitudes of various "tech support" suggestions of how to end this behavior without re-downloading and/or updating the Mail app, which was/is not required at all.

Apparently, as the Mail app connects to the client server, there may be data that does not get fully uploaded due to the internet connection, which, of course, are beyond Microsoft's control, and then The Mail app adds a note within the subject email that a "download" has not occurred and gives a file size for the missing data. Unfortunately, there is no "button" within the body of the email to re-try the download, which would be a great feature.

So my work around is to hit the "Forward" button at the top of the email window. This action loads the missing downloaded file(s) or text within the email that you are going to "forward" before having to ever actually forward(send) the email! The original incomplete email gets "corrected" with all the missing data previously not downloaded properly.

QED.
