Hi,
I had a Dell Inspiron a while back and after purchasing newer computers it got left on the shelf for a considerable time and now I tried to resurrect it, it will not accept the genuine activation code, I still have the original disks and used them to install the Vista, I also need to keep the Vista going as I can run some of my older programs on it.
I have slowly moved it across to another older computer as the Dell finally gave out but I am still stuck at the activation code, I have put another HDD into it but still have the old one, would it make a difference if I put the original hard drive back in?
Would appreciate any help in either direction, activate this one or put the original drive back in.
Thank you in advance.
Stay safe, stay well.
