Greetings,
My computer is no longer going to sleep by itself. I can force it to sleep by clicking Start > Power > Sleep, but I would like to find why sleep mode is no longer working and fix it.
I ran System File Checker. It said "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag."
I ran Power Troubleshooter and it found two "problems": Display brightness setting was too high and Screen saver was enabled. These were "fixed".
I tried refreshing the hiberfil.sys file (by setting powercfg /Hibernate to off, rebooting, then turning back on).
I created the energy report, battery report, and sleepstudy report.
Fast startup is disabled.
I thought maybe there might be an application preventing sleep. When I run powercfg /requests it says:
SYSTEM:
[PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpnetwk.exe
Media Sharing has been enabled through Windows Media Player
What else can I try?
Thanks,
Shane.
