Hi,
I hope someone can help. I've only recently noticed that my sound and brightness keys/buttons don't work as they should, regardless of whether or not the function button is pressed.
I am using Windows 10 Home on my very basic Lenovo laptop which is roughly 1-2 years old. Version number is 10.0.18363 build 18363.
The sound bar in the system tray also doesn't work.
I would typically be able to control the volume/mute and also change the brightness just by pressing the buttons (F1, F11/F12) without having to use the function button but since this week, they don't seem to work at all, pressing the function button doesn't work, either. F11 and F12 bring up different screens whilst F1 opens another tab.
This is the case across various browsers - Chrome, Edge and Firefox. All 3 are the latest versions, I have cleared the caches etc.
Please advise?
I have tried the troubleshooting mentioned by another user on here a few years ago:
But sadly, these haven't worked.
It seems like this is a recurring issue with Windows updates.
Hope someone can help! Many thanks in advance.
