Hello,
I'm trying to switch my c: drive (which is my SSD) to my d: drive (which is my HDD) for the Xbox pc game app so I can download my games on the d drive. Here's what happens in detail, I click on the "windows start" button, then click on the "settings" button, then click onto the "storage" button, then click onto the "change where new content is saved" button, then I click the local disk (c under the "new apps will save to:" title and try to switch it to HDD (D I get this error. "We couldn't set your default save location. The operation did not complete successfully. Try again in a bit. The Error code is 0x80070005, in case you need it."
Now before I made this post I've searched for HOURS all over Google, YouTube, and Reddit for troubleshooting solutions and most of them said it was an administrator security issue. I checked my administrator privileges and they were branded as "full control." I also tried doing stuff with the command prompt but that didn't work either. I also tried making a new folder in my d: drive titled "windows games" and dropping my "windows app" folder into it, because apparently having the same-named folder gives windows a difficult time reading it? It doesn't really matter though because that didn't work either. My storage devices aren't broken either so don't even bother suggesting/asking me that question. I've tried a TON of stuff but those are just three examples but If asked I can provide more detail. I apologize too if I have an attitude as well; I've been trying to fix this issue for MANY hours and I cannot find a solution. I've seen a lot of people too all over the internet who are in the same situation as me and they typically just let their post die with zero solution. I doubt I'll get any help with my post either but I figured I'd at least give it a try.
I'd also like to thank whoever took the time to read this post and if you have any questions or suggestions, please, feel free to drop a reply below.
