I wanted to make space on the C: drive of my new laptop (Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 15.6) using a new 1tb micro SD card as permanent storage. The laptop has a built in card reader specifically for this. I have a lot of movies (over 160gb) and tried moving the Video folder onto the card, the D: drive, but only about one third of the files were there, the rest showed as empty. The original Video folder and all of my movies were still on the C: drive, so I tried changing the location of the Videos folder from C: to D: drive. It seemed to work at first, but as I went through the files they started to disappear. Finally, I decided to try going to my most recent backup point with Samsung's PC Cleaner and it's been "restoring the registry" for almost 4 hours! Could Norton be what's causing all of these issues? Should I shut down my laptop and try a System Restore with Norton turned off? Is there another way that I can get all of my movies back? Is it even safe to shut down the computer with the System Restore running? Is it taking this long because I have a lot of movie files that need to be moved? Help!?
