Hey all. I have windows vista ultimate. I was playing around with sidebar and
accidentally removed it/made it unusable... is there somewhere I can download
it and re install it?

Type SIDEBAR in the Start Search box that appears
after you click on the Vista blue Start button, then click
on "Windows Sidebar Properties".

In Help and Support on the Start Menu, type Sidebar, click Windows Sidebar
Frequently Asked Questions, click How Do I open Sidebar, click, "click to
open Windows Sidebar."

If that fails to resolve it, try using System Restore to take your system
back to a time prior to when this began. While System Restore is meant to
only restore settings and the registry, you should, nonetheless have your
data backed up.

Start Menu\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.

Well, tried a restore, with no luck. Still haven't gotten it to work. I'm
pretty sure a fresh install will do it.

Have you tried Carey's suggestion or mine about how to open the sidebar?

If you were just "playing around with Sidebar"... then it should still be
there. Have you tried the suggestion of typing "sidebar" in the search box
and then looking at properties? You might have unchecked 'Start Sidebar when
Windows starts."
