Hi,
I'm running build 16299.665 (which reached end of life) and I have been unable to update my Windows 10 installation for quite a while now.
Running Windows Update from Settings, it attempts to install
and fails with this error
while displaying the message
However it does not mention which driver causes issues.
I've already tried
Update troubleshooter is useless.
I also downloaded KB4580330 from Microsoft Update Catalog and tried installing it with wusa (Windows Update Standalone Installer) via PowerShell, but it displays an error that the update is not applicable to my computer.
In Event Viewer, under Windows Logs > Setup I found the error event which reported the following:
Windows update could not be installed because of error 2149842967 "" (Command line: ""C:\Windows\system32\wusa.exe" C:\Users\cec\Downloads\windows10.0-kb4580330-x64_8071dd293ad75905366284666a6829652eac8f06.msu /log:C:\Users\cec\Downloads\update-log.txt")
In the log file created by passing /log to wusa I see

while displaying the message
A current driver on your PC may be better than the driver we're trying to install. We'll keep trying to install.
However it does not mention which driver causes issues.
I've already tried
- /sfc scannow
- resetting Windows Update data
(stopped the service, renamed the folders with ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old and ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old)
