Event ID 1025 Source Security-Licensing-SLC. Persistently in Grace

T

I receive persistent events logged to the Applications log.
Event ID 1025 Source Security-Licensing-SLC. As well as Event ID 1024
(Hardware has changed). I build my own machines , I add and remove disks
constantly , performing backups to removeable drives , hot startable drives ,
USB drives etc. So yes , my hardware I suppose is constantly changing and the
event 1024 is acceptable. But event 1025 keeps occurring

"Grace period has been started. Grace days=3 Grace type=4."

My licenese is valid , passes activation and genuine checks. It is an OEM
version.

I cannot find any help on how to translate the above error, and I do not
feel comfortable being constantly reminded that I am in some kind of "Grace
Period" for a legitimate copy of Vista Ultimate.

Can someone provide a reason as to why I am constantly in a Grace period ?
The grace period never changes , the grace type never chhanges , regardless
of reboots or weeks of system uptime...

I think you're going to run into licensing, validation and activation
issues.
