Hi, I am unable to open Excel or publisher files (Word and powerpoint seem fine) and am getting an error message saying that the application is failing to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect. It says to look at application log and use command line sxstrace.exe tool. I looked at the log and saw the errors. I did all the system updates and the problem still exists. I have looked on line and seen things about removing and reinstalling visual C++ but can't find anything about visual C++ in my programs or apps. The command line sxstrace.exe doesn't do anything now either.
Can anyone help please? I have files that I need to be working on ASAP.
