Disable windows shortcut keys

Is there a way to disable window's shortcut keys? Preferably only some of
them.. I find myself constantly hitting backspace to delete text and ending
up on a previous web page, or hitting space to pause online games and having
the screen jump to the bottom instead. It's driving me nuts! Any ideas?
