I am trying to create a system backup image (windows 7) and the back up fails. I worked a few years back but now there is a problem. I can't figure out why. Backing up to an external 2 gig drive. Keep getting message that "volume shadow copy service operation failed. Please check "vss" amd "spp" application event logs for more information (0x807800A1). Also additional info "the writer experienced a non-transient error. If the backup process is retried, the error is likely to reoccur. (0x800423F4). Where can I find these logs for more info? Does anyone have a fix. Thanks Frank
