HP printer connection problems

Help...I recently moved and disconnected my computer and printer for the move....so I believe I have reconnected everything - cable to computer and power cord... but its showing it is NOT connected to my computer? The HP printer is "on" but on the display it is only showing "copy, fax or scan" - no print option?! Can someone help walk me through this...
