Hi dear members, hope all are fine. I need some helps as i am a blog writer and using windows for several years, i am a happy customer of windows too
I have one Desktop-PC and one notebook in work, I would like to use wireless projecting- Miracast, Miracast works on notebook and everything is workable, so I would like to share my notebook screen to PC, so notebook will sharing screen and PC desktop will connect to this wireless screen. But main issue I have with desktop PC, graphic card support Miracast- check by DxDiag, but I don't see the option to connect wireless display as i watched some tutorials here
when I will add new features I cant find this features: wireless display, so I cant install it BUT on notebook same- features is not installed and is not possible to install same as on PC desktop but Miracast work without any problem so it will be not problem...
then I check everything, sharing the files is allowed on both PCs, notebook is connected by wifi and PC desktop by ethernet LAN cable in same network- work network because both PCs are for business and used in company, on PC desktop is allowed projecting following this instructions
then I check
Control Panel -> Network & Internet -> Network & Sharing Center ->Media Streaming Options: On local network, all Miracast devices are found, and they are checked for "Allowed". Checking custom settings, all ratings & content are allowed.
Version of desktop PC is Win 10 enterprise after 1836
I have set up Settings, System, Projecting on notebook is allowed but on PCs not- there is written that PCs does not support Miracast...
I have checked that I have the app Connect installed on both computers & have run it. But when I run on PC desktop, again I get notification that device does not support technology Miracast
Graphic Card has newest driver, all drivers are up to date,
but what I see that can be issue is missing wireless adapter in PC desktop, it is reasonable, because PC desktop cant connect to wifi there is no wifi card, so should I install the wireless wifi adapter ? or use external wifi adapter? because when I check WLAN driver supports Miracast: Start -> Run -> cmd -> " netsh wlan show drivers " ... I see only: Autoconfig for WLAN adapter is not running
So for me it could be the main issue that Miracast doesn't work because can connect by wireless adapter? what I should do please? could you get me some more advices?
thank you.
