Firefox Plugin

I can't play embedded media files through Firefox. Microsoft have a
plugin but it is only compatible with Vista and XP. Is there a way
round this?

What do you mean by "embedded" media files?
Are you referring to videos like on youtube, or what?

Youtube's okay. It's Media Player audio files that won't play using
the Firefox browser such as music clips. There is a plugin to correct
this but it won't install with Win98
