I tried to go to tech support with this, but wouldn't you know, I get stuck in an infinite loop with the 'virtual agent' telling me to sign in and then auto-signing me out, on both browser and the 'Get Help' program. Not sure what Microsoft is doing with itself these days.
Basically, my laptop (HP Pavilion 15t-cs200) has suspiciously high CPU usage.
-It always runs high (70+%) when wifi is turned on
-Even with wifi off, it runs at 100% until I open Task Manager and look at it--shows 100% for a few seconds and then drops to more normal levels and the fan turns off
-No listed processes in Task Manager come even close to accounting for the amount of CPU usage
-The problem is unaffected by how many programs I have open
It also seems to use more RAM than it should (way more than my other computer which has the same programs and OS installed). I installed updates with no change and scanned for viruses with no results. Please help. Thanks!
