Very slow file transfer DVD to Computer local drive

The file transfer from DVD drive to my computer is very slow and sometimes it gets struck at 5%. I have tried updating device driver and troubleshooting options but that didn't help. My OS is Windows 8. Appreciate your support in getting this fixed.
