Bought a brand new Lenovo T490S, came stock with Windows 10. Had it for about two days and decided to test the 'Lock' feature underneath 'Location' on the "Find My Phone" screen of Microsoft's website. As soon as it was locked out, no pin password, fingerprint biometric, remote un-lock or administrator access, has been able to unlock the desktop. I can connect to internet but tends to say 'Connected' with "No Internet." Ive called Lenovo's customer support after finding no information on this for the majority of all tech support and informational forums available on-line; they were un-aware of a solution as well and I am waiting to hear back from a manger. This should be very, very simple: if you push the "Lock" button, it locks. If you push the "Un-Lock" button, it unlocks. Instead I am forced to navigate through multiple command prompt screens from hearsay troubleshoot methods or otherwise reinstall my software. This entire scenario could be a tragedy to me if I'd had anything very important or time-sensitive on this laptop, and so Im very surprised that such hugely debilitating user error can go uncorrected by both Lenovo and Microsoft for one of their most modern models. Can anyone help provide a simple solution to this, or at least warn others before they face major loss?
