Nokia Pc Suite does not connect to phone

Hi,

On my Windows Vista 32 bit Ultimate I've installed Nokia PC Suite to
synchronize my calender with Outlook 2007. This does work so far, but
after login the Software can not connect to the phone using
bluetooth.

If I wait a few minutes before login the bluetooth connection
works....

I suppose when Nokia PC Suite starts, not all necessary drivers/
modules have been started. If I restart Nokia PC Suite or log out and
log in again, the connection is established.

Is there a way to delay starting PC Suite? Is it possible to influence
the priority of the objects defined under HKLM\Software\Microsoft
\CurrentVersion\Run? Or is it possible to allow log in not before all
services have been started?

Thanks!

hi there
i use nokia pc suite with vista hp .I have disabled it from
startup using windows defender, only problem i have is if i hav'nt used it for
a few days it has to load the drivers again .did you install the new vista
version or is it from a disc supplied with the phone cos most discs wont work
properly with vista you have to download from nokia site .also i find it much
better to use a dku cable connection rather than a bluetooth connection as
bluetooth can be slow to connect and transfer .Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply!

I've installed the current version from Nokia's Website. I didn't try
the cable, but I am sure, the cable would solve the problem, because
the device is detected after plugging in the cable...

But apart from that, I'll try...
..... nevertheless I'd prefer to use bluetooth :)

Did you get the latest, VISTA compatible version of PCSuite from their
website?
