My Windows Firewall has become disabled. I noticed that the process WSAPPX is grinding away and my Surface laptop is running at high CPU and very hot. I have looked within the MS Community and tried all the suggested fixes. I am running Sophos Endpoint which has been installed from Day 1 of this pc. My winver is 20H2 recently applied thinking that would refresh the Windows Firewall Service, but it did not.
I have tried all the commands to reset netsh advfirewall reset ; wsreset.exe and some others that I found on here to no avail.
I am not sure if WF was always disabled due to Sophos EP, but the Microsoft Store (wsappx) process is hanging when trying to download updates I assume which is causing the high CPU for that process.
Am i going to need to "RESET" my Windows install? Thanks in advance.
